Overall, Ascended Armor is the best armor you can get in Guild Wars 2, and there are various ways of obtaining it. Whether you choose to craft it, acquire it through raiding and strikes, or complete the precursor collections, Ascended Armor will greatly enhance your character's stats and make you more effective in combat. Conclusion:
Wvw: 22 weeks per armor set. Raids: ~12 weeks per armor set. Spvp: 3 seasons each lasting ~2 months, so ~12 weeks per armor set. Obviously quickest would be to do all 3 and have your full 3-legendary armor in like 4-5 months, but I doubt any non-hardcore player to have ever done that.
That'll award you with guild commendations to get ascended trinkets. Keep in mind. if you are on one of the top servers and you join a wvw guild. you'll have plenty of dust, shards, and ore. I recently finished crafting my ascended armor, and I am in the process of gathering materials to craft an ascended weapon.
If you're not in a hurry, 450-500 can be done on the daily ascended mats (deldrimor steel and spiritwood for weaponsmith). Since you need those to craft ascended weapons anyway, it can be a nice way to waste less funds. I am sure it works for 450-475 only. Past 475 discover exotics is best way, as i know.
The answer is: depends. The cost to craft directly is actually cheaper but only by the cost of the insignia which ends up being about 50 silver (1g for weapons). However, Viper's gear requires you to craft 25 (50 for weapons) fulgurites which use obsidian shards and HoT account bound materials. TerribleTransit • 4 yr. ago.
Game Discussion. Guild Wars 2 Discussion. An Inspired Way to Recycle Ascended Gear. Arena Net would be doing its clientelle yet another huge favor if it finds a way to equitably (win-win for Anet and the Gamer) recycle all of the ascended gear that the Legendary Armory will no doubt generate. They already have won the hearts and minds of many
How to get Research Notes. Research Notes come from salvaging craftable items. Get a Research Kit. Each kit has 250 charges. You get one free when you unlock Jade Bots. You can buy them from an assortment of vendors for 2 Silver. Craft or buy qualifying items: Crafted armor. Crafted weapons.
At about 80 potions you can instacomplete a full reward track. The fastest way, boosters aside, is to join a Zerg that’s taking structures. Follow PPT commanders as you’ll earn track experience every time you campfire a point or kill a dolyak/sentry. Reward track only comes every 5 minutes on a 'tick'.
Even thought I am 80 with full Ascended gear, I still find teh content fun and engaging, even in the "starter zones." The other piece of advice is to join a good guild if you haven't already. They can help you with the harder stuff, and they come in handy at the end of your Personal Story when you have to do the story instance of Arah.
That said, people do still run dungeons for various reasons. There's no reason you can't, especially if there's some dungeon gear you want. Other than that, the game pretty much begins at level 80, since 1-79 is basically just an extended tutorial these days. If you're a new player with a fresh 80, here's a short list of stuff to do:
Ascended Trinkets are often easier to obtain than their exotic counterparts. These can be farmed using Living World Season 3 and 4 currencies. Exotic gear will have slightly lower stats than their ascended counterparts, but this difference won’t affect your performance very much. While you’re learning, you don’t need to focus on
For Armor-You can get ascended armor by raiding (a meta started exotic set is all you need to start, trade the raid currency directly for gear boxes) playing PvP (cashing in your shards/marks earned thru reward tracks), WvW (doing exotic armor reward tracks and upgrading the armor to ascended status), and of course through Crafting.
You can get Ascended gear from most endgame things. A lot of routes require crafting for on demand gear. PvP, Fractals, and WvW all require multiple tokens for gear, on top of other rewards obtained in those game modes (and a little bit of gold). These tokens can often be rewarded to you, but the easiest way to get them is to craft them.
Hey guys ! So I have some fundamental questions about equipment.Essentially, my issue started when I created new character, and looked at metabattle to test new builds.I see a lot of streamers and players in general having multiple weapons types and builds on one character + 5 other well equipped
Jewelry and weapons have relatively big stat gains over exotic, armor not so much.)2) Yes, you can share the gear.3) Crafting is the only surefire way to get the ascended gear weapons and armor you want, drops are rare and unreliable, but you can transmute stats in the mystic forge. If you get a rabid ascended sword, you could make it berserker
Ascended Gear- Celestial? I have been playing GW2 for a while now (2 level 80's with ~150 hrs each) and have just started to get into crafting. Looking at the requirements for ascended gear, especially the time gated stuff and the globs of dark matter, I am realizing that even just kitting out my two current 80's in ascended weapons is a big
In GW2, the gear tiers are: white - blue - green - yellow - orange (exotic) - pink (ascended) - purple (legendary) Exotic gear is about 5-10% behind ascended, which is best-in-slot. The level above that, legendary, doesn't offer any stat benefits over ascended, but lets you change its attributes freely, meaning one piece of gear can be used for any nu
Crafting ascended materials like Lumps of Mithrillium requires ectoplasm. Materials like Empyreal Stars require Obsidian Shards. Just go with that. Seems like you're overthinking it. Silverwastes chests give a good amount of obsidian so I don't think you need to farm much for it.
Map exploring 100% for your gift of exploration (not including any HoT zones, southsun cove, drytops or silverwaste). Then spend about 6-8 hours inside WvW geting gift of battle (use guild WvW and other boosters and do dailies to speed it up) 3rd step would be to get your self a precursor, dusk.
